Job Summary

The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to recruit four Internal Medicine Trainees (IMT3) to fill current vacancies in Diabetes and Endocrinology. This is a fantastic opportunity for medical professionals to gain valuable experience in a leading healthcare organization.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct outpatient clinics under close consultant supervision, introducing trainees to different aspects of the specialty.
  • Participate in inpatient rotations, working closely with the diabetes nurses and other healthcare professionals.
  • Be on the rota for Castle ward cover, supporting the ward team and contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Requirements
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • MRCP (UK) at time of application.
  • Eligibility for full registration with, and hold a current licence to practise from, the GMC at the advertised post start date.
  • Be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Meet professional health requirements (in line with GMC standards / Good Medical Practice).
  • Be able to provide complete details of their employment history.
  • Have evidence that their career progression is consistent with their personal circumstances.
  • Have evidence that their present level of achievement and performance is commensurate with the totality of their period of training.
  • Evidence of experience in a range of acute medical specialties, with experience of managing patients on unselected medical take during core training or equivalent.
