About the Role

Livewell Southwest CIC is seeking an experienced Allied Health Professional (AHP) to lead our healthcare services in Plymouth, South Hams, and West Devon. As AHP Lead, you will be responsible for influencing regional and national agendas, representing AHPs across LWSW, and working in partnership with other health and social providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of AHP services, including their diversity and commonality.
  • Lead strategic planning, service modernization, AHP workforce and workload planning, education, research, training, and quality of AHP interventions.
  • Work with local health and social care partners to ensure a robust and consistent AHP strategy for the region.
  • Lead on relevant AHP policies and provide leadership and direction on delivering adult social care strategic aims and objectives.

Requirements
  • Significant AHP profession experience in healthcare and/or social care settings.
  • Experience of senior leadership representation on projects/initiatives/professions at local and national levels.
  • Experience in both community and acute settings would be advantageous.
  • Experience of successful people and budget management.
Essential Qualifications
  • Currently registered Allied Health Professional Body.
  • Postgraduate training to Masters Level, or equivalent.
  • Registration with the Health Professions Council.
  • Demonstrable resource management experience.
  • Demonstrable credibility in relationships with a broad diversity of professionals.
  • Emotional intelligence.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant national health and social care policy impacting on health and social care service delivery and priorities.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and practical application experience of change management and leadership models.
  • Knowledge and understanding of key priorities and policy direction for AHP professions.
  • Knowledge and understanding of local demographics, population trends, workforce supply and demand issues impacting on AHP service delivery skills.
  • Has well-developed project management skills and ability to deliver results.
  • Evidence of ongoing relevant professional development.
