As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for managing construction sites to achieve required project delivery to customers' objectives while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact, and cost control.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of experience at a management engineering level in construction, specifically in MEP engineering and/or utilities. They will possess growing commercial and contractual knowledge and experience in managing subcontractors, with a strong ability to build relationships with external parties. The ideal candidate will also have significant civil engineering technology knowledge and previous experience in airport environments, particularly in critical areas such as Heathrow Airport.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering multiple ongoing projects to specified quality, required program, and maximum commercial performance. You will work closely with the Commercial Department, engineers, and surveyors to ensure that projects are completed safely while customer requirements and expectations are maintained or exceeded.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising subcontractors, assistant site engineers, and workforce to ensure they understand RAMS before commencing shifts and adhere to setting out methods and techniques.
  • Checking shift engineers' setting out to ensure accuracy and ensuring they follow their own responsibilities, including testing materials, briefing operatives, and filling in check sheets.
  • Maintaining reasonable survey book standards and daily diaries by engineers.
  • Attending and sometimes running coordination meetings with stakeholders and subcontractors.
  • Ensuring 3D information drawings and specification documents contain sufficient, accurate information for construction works.
  • Completing inspection and test plans digitally recorded as required by PMP/Specification, including checking dimension accuracy and quality.
  • Preparing and monitoring a 2-4 weeks program with subcontractors and other suppliers.
  • Monitoring work under control to ensure any unsafe work conditions and non-compliance with company policies and procedures are promptly remedied.
