VAT Partner Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled VAT Partner to lead our tax function and drive business growth. As a key decision maker, you will be responsible for managing a large VAT portfolio, reviewing and preparing VAT computations and workings, and leading VAT advisory work with clients.

About the Role
  • Lead a team of tax accountants specialising in VAT at a reputable accountancy practice.
  • Manage a large VAT portfolio and ensure clients are benefitting from all business services.
  • Review and prepare VAT computations and workings, and lead VAT advisory work with clients.
  • Advising on various VAT due diligence exercises and collaborating with other departments to ensure clients are receiving a tailored service.
  • Provide training and development for colleagues and team members, and represent the company at networking and business events.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce and cross-sell company services to new and existing clients, and set an example as a hands-on Partner.

Essential Criteria
  • CTA qualified with extensive VAT experience within practice.
  • Technically proficient and a strong communicator.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills with good people management skills.
  • Excellent advisory skills and sound attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and highly organised, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A team player able to bring out the best in others and constructively mentor junior team members.
  • Confident in networking and representing the firm in a professional manner.
