The Opportunity:

Avantor is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Laboratory Technician to join their team in Cambridge, UK. In this role, you will be responsible for laboratory housekeeping, supporting scientists, and maintaining laboratory consumable inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of laboratory consumable inventory, identifying alternative products and daily replenishment
  • Biological and chemical waste management
  • Receipt and unpacking of cell and biological samples deliveries
  • Routine decontamination of equipment
  • Management of pipette inventory and calibration schedules

Requirements:

  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) and an interest in science
  • Full training will be given, previous experience in pharmaceutical/food manufacturing environment desirable but not essential
  • Ability to understand and follow Health and Safety instructions
  • Computer Literate
  • Process driven and high level of attention to details
