AML Manager Job Description

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Manager to join their dynamic team at a highly respected law firm in South West England.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement AML compliance policies and procedures in line with the latest regulations and best practices.
  • Conduct ongoing risk assessments to identify potential AML risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee and conduct client due diligence and continuous monitoring processes to ensure compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.
  • Provide AML training to staff, ensuring a high level of awareness and understanding of AML obligations across the firm.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all AML-related inquiries, both internal and external, including liaising with regulatory bodies as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of AML activities and ensure timely reporting of suspicious activities to the relevant authorities.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in an AML compliance role, preferably within the legal sector or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of UK AML regulations, especially as they apply to the legal profession.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and lead staff on AML compliance matters.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ACAMS, ICA Diploma) would be advantageous.
