IT Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled IT Helpdesk Technician to join our dynamic IT Support Team. This exciting opportunity will involve providing first-line technical support to staff and students, both face-to-face and remotely.
Under the direction of the IT Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Fielding support calls to the IT helpdesk and managing Active Directory, Group Policy, and Server Technologies 2008R2 and Server 2012.
- Providing remote desktop support and monitoring the use of open access areas.
- Managing day-to-day administrative tasks, including password changes, printer credit updates, email/user restrictions, and maintaining 'Monitoring software'.
- Monitoring email/Internet filtering and audit reports, subject to policies and manager discretion.
To succeed in this role, you will require excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a customer service approach. Experience in supporting and managing desktops, laptops, and printers is essential, along with knowledge of current network issues, virus alerts, and security concerns.
A willingness to undertake further training relevant to the role is expected. Exposure to technologies such as Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 would be advantageous, although training will be provided where necessary.
