CAD CAM Operator

Location: Folkestone, UK

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced CAD/CAM operator to manage our Design Technology department's 3D HUB and support teaching at our upper school.

The successful candidate will be responsible for running a CAD/CAM HUB, maintaining and servicing CAM facilities, and providing materials and apparatus as required by the teacher to support the teaching of the subject at KS4 and KS5.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Run a CAD/CAM HUB at the upper school Design Department.
  • Responsible for the running of the Design Technology department's 3D HUB and the operation of 22 Ultimaker 3D printers, CAM machines including laser cutters, multi-axis CNC routers, injection moulder, and water jet cutter.
  • Regular maintenance and servicing of CAM facilities.
  • Provide and prepare materials and apparatus as required by the teacher to support the teaching of the subject at KS4 and KS5.
Requirements:
  • Background in a Design or Engineering subject with interest in 3D printing or career in teaching Design Technology.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills for regular contact with students, staff, and outside agencies.
Salary:

£22,862 per annum (pro rata).
