Operations Manager for Key Logistics

Job Description:

As an Operations Manager for Key Logistics at Motorsport Events, you will oversee key logistics for major events such as the Le Mans 24 Hrs. This includes ticketing, inventory management, supplier coordination, and budgeting. The role also involves leading smaller events and contributing to long-term projects with a focus on developing our product offering and improving customer experience.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Manage key logistics for major events, including ticketing and inventory management.
  2. Source and work with quality suppliers, creating and maintaining strong working relationships.
  3. Oversee event inventory management, ensuring accurate tracking and availability.
  4. Help manage ticket stock from supplier to customer, meeting sales and distribution goals.
  5. Assist in managing the entire ticketing process, from sales to customer fulfillment.
  6. Help curate and manage events within budgetary restraints, liaising with line manager to ensure cost of goods are within budgets.
  7. Aid in developing and managing event schedules and staff rotas for smooth event execution.
  8. Manage smaller teams of internal and external staff on events.
  9. Lead smaller events and tours, taking ownership of planning, logistics, and execution.
  10. Attend events, representing the company and fostering new business relationships.
  11. Assist in designing and curating event merchandise and branding materials.
  12. Coordinate team logistics and provide support to the sales team with operations and logistical planning.
  13. Collaborate with other departments to ensure cohesive event execution.
Additional Responsibilities
  1. Maintain up-to-date organization and inventory of all files, subscriptions, and company-owned units.
  2. Handle smaller office operations and administrative tasks, ensuring smooth day-to-day functionality.
  3. Conduct minor data analysis, providing insights and reports to improve operational efficiency.
  4. Present new ideas and proposals to enhance the company's offerings and drive business growth.
Requirements
  1. Highly organized and meticulous in approach to planning and execution.
  2. Detail oriented with high standards towards their own work.
  3. Self-starter, able to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
  4. Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
  5. Able to take on increasing responsibilities.
  6. Team player and can function well within a busy office and fast-paced environment.
  7. Willing to take on tasks of varying scope, from minor details to major projects.
  8. Comfortable with Excel for budgeting, data analysis, and reporting.
  9. Ideally has the ability to drive, with a preference for candidates who are comfortable driving abroad.
