We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced teacher to join our team as an Exceptional Children Lead Teacher. The ideal candidate will have a valid North Carolina teaching license or be willing to pursue state certification, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant content area, and at least 2 full years of teaching experience in EC/SPED General Curriculum. Additionally, the successful candidate will have experience writing IEPs and 504s for students with varying abilities.
The responsibilities of this role include providing specially designed instruction (SDI) to students who qualify for special education services, utilizing the general education curriculum and evidenced-based practices to plan and deliver instruction for students with disabilities, and communicating effectively and regularly with school staff and parents about student progress and needs.
