About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Physician in General Medicine to join our team at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Physician in General Medicine, you will be responsible for leading the care of inpatients on a General Internal Medicine/Specialty ward, developing standards, procedures, and systems to ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement clinical guidelines to ensure best practice for the management of wide-range medical conditions.
- Work within the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective team working in the provision of acute medical care to patients on a day-to-day basis.
- Participate in relevant audit and quality assurance processes.
- Teach and train junior doctors, Physician Associates, and students.
- Lead a team of junior doctors and multi-disciplinary staff in providing comprehensive medical care for inpatients, clinic patients, and emergency admissions of all ages.

We provide a comprehensive range of acute services, including tertiary referral centre for colorectal, liver, peritoneal carcinomatosis, haemophilia, and pseudomyxoma surgery.
Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent.
- MRCP (Paces).
- Licence to practice and full registration with GMC.
- Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register, or within 6 months of completion of CCT at time of interview.
- Advanced Life Support.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
