About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Night Support Officer to join our team at the Beacon Children's Home in Grantham. As a Night Support Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents, who are aged between 8 and 17 years old.

Key Responsibilities
  • Encourage residents to sleep, rest, or remain peaceful and relaxed
  • Engage and communicate effectively with residents, supporting their needs during the night
  • Ensure residents are safeguarded and their welfare needs are met
  • Undertake general housekeeping duties throughout the home

About Us

The Beacon is a purpose-built home for eleven young people with disabilities and complex health needs. We are committed to providing a nurturing environment where our residents can thrive and reach their full potential.

About You

We are looking for a candidate who is compassionate, has excellent communication skills, and a calm professional demeanor. Previous experience in a care profession is not essential, but you must have a good understanding of caring for children. You will need to be able to adapt to different situations and have the motivation to provide the very best care for our residents.

You will be joining a successful and experienced team, and we will provide you with the training and support required to develop into this role. You will be required to complete a Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce Diploma.
