About the Role


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant with experience in SEN to join the Heron Academy staff team.


As part of our dedicated and highly-skilled staff, you will support the learning of students with a range of severe, complex, and profound learning difficulties, with and without autism.


Your role will involve working collaboratively with a team of professionals to provide the best possible outcomes for our students.



Key Responsibilities

  • Support students with varying levels of need in a classroom environment
  • Work closely with teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture


Requirements

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who:



  • Has a strong background in supporting students with SEN
  • Is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Can build strong relationships with students, teachers, and other staff members
  • Is committed to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
