HR Administrative Assistant

Hybrid Working - 12 month Contract - £16.00 per hour
We are seeking a well-organised and enthusiastic learning and development administrator to join our team in our multi-national defence systems business.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the day-to-day running of our training rooms and support the L&D advisors to provide learning and development solutions to the business.
- Ensure the smooth running of the training facilities at all three MBDA sites, meeting trainers, and liaising with security about access.
- Work with external agencies, such as company venue booking agencies, training providers, and our managed service provider to arrange a wide range of training courses effectively.
- Perform a range of activities within our training management system, including updating records, deleting duplicate requests, checking and correcting data, and preparing reports for business areas or the L&D team.
- Respond to L&D-related enquiries, investigate records, and refer more difficult enquiries to higher-level roles, ensuring quick resolution wherever possible.
- Work with other departments to secure support for training courses, such as facilities, IM for equipment, security for access control, and procurement for contracting payments.
- Take responsibility for administration for a designated set of training courses, including Performance Management, Technical Foundation Programme, and Lean Six Sigma.
- Provide administration support for the experienced apprenticeships schemes, including management of internal records and issuing documentation and communication to learners.
- Manage the security refresher training process, ensuring all training is carried out within required timescales and records are maintained.
Great written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft sensitive and appropriate responses to customer queries. Excellent telephone manner and a strong customer service ethic. Ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external trainers, suppliers, and delegates, and to be a great ambassador for the L&D team and HR function.
Great organisational and planning skills, with the ability to think ahead, identify potential problems, and find solutions. Excellent IT skills, including MS Office suite and the ability to quickly learn new tools and systems.
