Job Title: Deputy Head of Data Analytics

About the Role:

East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Head of Data Analytics to join our team. As a key member of our analytics team, you will work closely with the Head of Analytics to coordinate the provision of bespoke analysis for operational and clinical customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the continuous improvement of the team's capabilities in analytics techniques, including performance dashboards, demand and capacity modeling, and statistical analysis.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clinical divisions in the Trust.
  • Respond to ad-hoc queries for information and analysis.
  • Coordinate team resources and help analysts organize their workflow.
  • Coach professional development and help manage relationships between the analytics team and operational and clinical teams.
  • Champion quality assurance processes and procedures within the team.

Person Specification:

  • Educated to bachelor level.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Further training in analytics and statistical analysis where relevant.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Data Science qualifications and formal training.
  • Management/leadership qualification or equivalent experience.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience in delivering analytical products and insights, including predictive analyses and visual analysis dashboards.
  • Experience working in the NHS on a business informatics or data analysis role.

Key Skills:

  • Advanced skills in statistical analysis.
  • Advanced user in Power BI.
  • Advanced user of MS Office suite, in particular Excel & SQL Server.
  • Standards, the Secondary Uses Service and commissioning information.
  • Working knowledge of NHS Data Standards and Information Systems.
  • Knowledge of data warehouse environments.
  • High level of analytical and problem-solving skills.
