About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Support Engineer to join our team at Boeing Defence UK. As a Product Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our programs, particularly the P8-A program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and advise on Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) following changes to program baselines, ensuring that spares changes are properly communicated to the supply chain.
  • Review technical documentation to assist in resolving alternative solutions to long-lead-time spares orders.
  • Provide initial responses to supply chain technical queries related to the provision and use of parts on aircraft.
  • Work closely with the Field Service Representative (FSR) team to resolve initial issues.
  • Collaborate with the Product Support (LSA and Technical Publications) team to ensure correct changes are made to the aircraft documentation set.
  • Support contingency planning and requirements to ensure smooth transition into sustainment.
  • Mentor supply chain team members in the use of technical information.
Requirements
  • Previous practical experience in aircraft maintenance, preferably with fixed-wing or 737-related experience.
  • Experience with Logistics Support Analysis using LSAR.
  • Support engineering/integrated logistical support-related work experience.
  • Ability to obtain UK SC security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to use the aircraft document set, including technical drawings.
  • Understanding of support engineering in military environments.
  • Logistics support analysis (spares engineering) experience.
  • Ability to read and understand aircraft drawing sets.
  • Authoring of support product documentation.
  • Education to degree level in a relevant engineering subject or relevant experience.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional business stakeholders to identify optimization opportunities and enhance supplier offerings.
  • Ability to liaise with OEM platform teams to integrate UK solutions with base platforms.
  • Proven ability to drive first-time quality.
  • Experience with international support standards such as Def Stan 00-600 and ASD/AIA Suite of S Series ILS Specifications.
