Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Support Engineer to join our team at Boeing. As a Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing product supportability infrastructure to our programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and advise on Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) following changes to program baselines.
  • Review technical documentation to assist in resolving alternative solutions to long lead time spares orders.
  • Provide initial responses to supply chain for technical queries related to the provision and use of parts on aircraft.
  • Work closely with the FSR team to resolve initial issues.
  • Collaborate with the Product Support (LSA and Tech Pubs) team to ensure correct changes are made to the aircraft documentation set.
  • Support contingency planning and requirements to take projects smoothly into sustainment.
  • Mentor supply chain team members in the use of technical information.
  • Work as directed by the Product Support Technical Lead, through the local supply chain lead/manager.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous practical experience in aircraft maintenance (preferably fixed wing/737 related will be an advantage).
  • Experience of Logistics Support Analysis with the use of LSAR.
  • Support engineering/integrated logistical support related work experience.
  • Essential to be able to obtain UK SC security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to use the aircraft document set, including technical drawings.
  • An understanding of support engineering in the military environment.
  • Logistics Support Analysis (spares engineering).
  • An ability to read and understand aircraft drawing sets.
  • Authoring of support product documentation.
  • Ideally you will be educated to degree level in a relevant engineering subject OR have relevant experience.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional business stakeholders to identify optimisation opportunities and ways in which suppliers can enhance our offering to our clients.
  • Ability to liaise with the OEM platform side of Boeing to integrate the UK solutions with those that exist on the base platforms.
  • Proven ability to drive first-time quality.
  • Experience of working with international support standards such as Def Stan 00-600, ASD/AIA Suite of S Series ILS Specifications is desirable.
