Senior Hardware Engineer

Raytheon UK is seeking an experienced Senior Hardware Engineer to join our Assured Position, Navigation and Timing (APNT) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing digital GPS anti-jam systems for the military market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with system engineers and modellers to develop electronic subsystem architectures
  • Create hardware models and simulate their performance
  • Design and develop PCBs, selecting components and verifying their functionality
  • Work with embedded software engineers and mechanical engineers to integrate hardware and software components
  • Generate design documentation and perform technical reviews
Requirements:
  • Experience with embedded digital electronics and microprocessor systems
  • Experience with ADC/DAC, SRAM, Flash, FPGAs, and SoC technologies
  • Experience with high-speed interfaces and signal technologies such as LVDS and JESD
  • Experience in designing for manufacture and testing
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to present technical information clearly and concisely
  • Eligible or holder of current SC security clearance
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with Xilinx chip family and Mentor Xpedition PCB design tool
  • Familiarity with systems engineering approach and DO254 compliance
  • Understanding of VITA interface and environmental requirements
  • APNT systems domain knowledge and/or experience in a similar field
