Singing for the Brain Support Volunteer

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Singing for the Brain Support Volunteer. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and encouragement to individuals affected by dementia, enabling them to participate in our structured group sessions.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome and engage with individuals affected by dementia, creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Provide encouragement and support to participants, helping them to feel at ease and confident in their abilities.
- Assist the session facilitator with the activities, either online or in person, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all.
- Develop meaningful relationships with individuals and their carers, providing emotional support and companionship.
- Ability to listen and display compassion, empathy, and understanding.
- Fun and enthusiastic approach, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team dynamic.
- Basic computer skills and ability to navigate online platforms, including Zoom.
