About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Service Engineer to join our team at The Freelance Recruiter. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and support to our clients in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Repair Equipment: Effectively diagnose and repair faults and failures with refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and systems.
  • Provide First-Time Fix Response: Where possible, provide a first-time fix response to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Carry out routine planned preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is running efficiently and effectively.
  • Coordinate Maintenance Works: Coordinate and control all documents associated with reactive and planned preventative maintenance works.
  • Liaise with Clients: Liaise closely with clients to maintain excellent stakeholder relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Work Safely: Work in a safe and controlled manner, following all necessary internal health and safety processes and client-specific site requirements.
  • On-Call Rota: Take part in the on-call rota to support the business in achieving its 24/7/365 response.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A minimum NVQ Level 2 qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, with F-Gas/EN 378 compliance.
  • Experience: Highly experienced in refrigeration and air conditioning, with a strong background in VRV's, cold rooms, close control, and chilled water systems and heat pumps.
  • Interpersonal Skills: A high level of interpersonal skills, with strong networking skills and the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships at various levels with our clients.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with a 'can-do' attitude and the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Electrical Competence: Good electrical competence, including the ability to read wiring schematics and test control circuits.
  • Driving License: A full driving license.
  • DBS Certificate: Ability to achieve a DBS certificate.
