Overview

As a Railway Operations Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of railway operations by providing timely and effective responses to real-time incidents and operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities

In this essential position, you will be tasked with:

  • Responding promptly to any accidents or incidents occurring within your designated railway section.
  • Conducting thorough investigations and generating reports to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences.
  • Occasionally stepping into the role of Rail Incident Officer, where you will lead the establishment of a command structure and coordinate restoration efforts for infrastructure and services.
  • Performing a variety of operational support tasks, including monitoring performance metrics, prioritizing actions based on weather conditions, conducting audits, managing engineering tasks, overseeing inventory orders, and tracking vehicle status.

Essential Qualifications

  • Completion of Rail Incident Officer and Personal Track Safety training.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
  • A valid driving license.
  • Self-driven and confident in your abilities.
  • Highly organized with effective prioritization skills.

This role may require working during days, nights, and weekends, and is classified as safety-critical, necessitating compliance with drug and alcohol testing protocols and medical assessments.

If you are not currently serving as a Railway Operations Coordinator, you will receive support to transition into this role through a comprehensive training program.
