Oxford, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom Helen & Douglas House Full time

Position Overview

Are you a seasoned and empathetic clinical leader eager to make a difference in a distinguished organization? At Helen & Douglas House, we invite you to guide our exceptional inpatient services team towards a forward-thinking approach.

As the Head of Inpatient Care, your role will be pivotal in ensuring that the care we deliver is tailored to meet the mental and physical health needs of individuals, culturally sensitive, and consistently assessed for adherence to professional standards and contemporary best practices. Collaborating closely with management and clinical teams, you will establish benchmarks, enhance, and elevate the quality of care provided. You will play a crucial role within the broader clinical leadership team, fostering ongoing enhancements in service delivery and supporting the professional growth of team members.

This position is full-time, with discussions around flexible working arrangements encouraged. Once established in your role, a hybrid working model will be available, requiring a minimum of three days per week on-site.

The successful candidate will participate in the weekend remote on-call rota and may be expected to attend occasional weekend events, such as seasonal celebrations and commemorative gatherings. Attendance at some evening events to represent the organization may also be required.

Key Responsibilities

This role encompasses providing both strategic and operational leadership to various clinical teams, ensuring compliance with all relevant local and national performance and service delivery standards. Additionally, you will maintain effective operational connections with other charitable organizations within the Berkshire, Oxfordshire, and Buckinghamshire regions, as well as primary and secondary care services and community support networks.

To excel in this position, you should have substantial senior-level experience in leading and delivering clinical services, a background in multi-disciplinary collaboration at a senior level, and experience working in partnership with other organizations. Familiarity with children's palliative care or the hospice sector is also essential.

Please be aware that all employees at Helen & Douglas House are required to undertake specific training and development activities.
