About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Operator to join our vibrant manufacturing team at Tropic Skincare. As a key member of our production team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of our award-winning skincare products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacture a wide range of skincare products using various machinery, including large vessels and spectrophotometers.
  • Analyse raw materials and finished products to guarantee accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain our high standards and specifications, ensuring every product meets our rigorous quality control measures.
  • Work closely with chemists, engineers, and production teams to experiment with new combinations and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Adhere to all safe working practices and ensure the team follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure that COSHH guidelines are followed and that all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn and maintained.
  • Manage the flow of products and materials, including collecting batch materials from the weighing team and managing the movement of finished batches to the production teams.
  • Responsible for ensuring the department is cleaned and sanitised suitably and sufficiently, including waste management.
Requirements
  • At least years' experience using manufacturing equipment at a machine operator level.
  • Previous experience of working in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • A systematic and determined approach, with a keen eye for detail and a natural curiosity about science.
  • A strong communicator with an analytical mindset, who enjoys collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Excellent time management skills.
