About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Risk & Control - Independent Challenge Vice President to join our team at JP Morgan Chase Bank, National Association. As a key member of our Controls Organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of operational risk across our Commercial and Investment Bank (CIB) division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Prep Sessions for CIB Governance Committee: Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare for the CIB Keys Governance Committee, ensuring that all necessary information and documentation are in place.
  • Provide Independent Challenge: Conduct independent challenge sessions with senior stakeholders to ensure that all issues are thoroughly addressed and resolved.
  • Draft and Finalize Communications: Develop and finalize communications, including agendas and presentation materials, for the CIB Keys process.
  • Prepare Presenters: Prepare presenters on meeting protocols, flow, and expected documents for the Keys process.
  • Conduct Run Through Meetings: Conduct run-through meetings and calls with senior stakeholders and business heads to prepare for Keys meetings.
  • Collaborate on Improvements: Collaborate with management to identify areas for improvement in the Keys operating model and ensure that objectives are aligned with business goals.
  • Conduct Data Analysis: Conduct data analysis of regulatory data to identify CIB impacts and develop recommendations for mitigation.
  • Collaborate with Global Team: Collaborate with the global Regulatory Commitments team to produce an up-to-date tracker of all CIB commitments and regulatory engagements.
  • Build Relationships: Build and maintain collaborative relationships with Compliance, Control, and Business stakeholders.
  • Develop and Lead Analysis: Develop and lead ad-hoc analysis, presentations, and projects as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant Experience: Relevant experience in Operational Risk, Control & Compliance in prior roles.
  • Banking Experience: Experience in banking and financial environment with a broad knowledge of Operational Risk & Control.
