Candidate Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Background in electro-mechanical maintenance within a large-scale industrial setting
  • Proficient in the installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems
  • Able to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ, Diploma, or Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 18th Edition certification is a plus
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct scheduled and emergency maintenance on equipment, ensuring minimal downtime
  • Repair and maintain electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Implement preventative maintenance strategies across machinery
  • Utilize hand and power tools safely, including aerial lift equipment after proper training
  • Diagnose electrical failures and recommend corrective actions
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including motor checks and contact replacements
  • Knowledge of PLC systems is advantageous
  • Install and replace electrical cables and conduits as necessary
  • Exhibit strong communication skills and foster a collaborative team environment
  • Engage with team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Interpret and utilize various electrical schematic diagrams
  • Assist in operational tasks to maintain workflow and meet production standards
  • Ensure a safe and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols
  • Participate in meetings to discuss operational activities and stay updated on industry developments
  • Perform additional duties as required.
