Electrical Maintenance Technician

Detail 2 Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their team in Lancaster. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing scheduled and planned maintenance repairs of equipment, as well as emergency/unscheduled repairs of mill equipment during unplanned shutdowns. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing problems related to electrical failure, reporting conditions, and recommending steps to be taken. Additionally, you will perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment throughout the mill, safely use all hand and power tools, and collaborate with other team members as necessary to resolve problems and determine the roots cause. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing background, preferably in electro-mechanical maintenance, and a relevant qualification, NVQ, Diploma, or Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled and planned maintenance repairs of equipment
  • Emergency/unscheduled repairs of mill equipment during unplanned shutdowns
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems related to electrical failure
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment
  • Safely use all hand and power tools
  • Collaborate with other team members to resolve problems
