Blatchford, a leading manufacturer of advanced prosthetic technology, bespoke seating solutions, and orthotic devices, seeks an experienced Clinician to lead our team as Lead Prosthetist/Centre Manager. This role will deliver the Prosthetics service on behalf of the NHS in Wolverhampton.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective leadership and day-to-day management of the centre, ensuring a high-quality clinical service.
  • Ensure packages of care are affordable to the NHS and meet the commercial needs of the company.
  • Manage care packages effectively, aligning clinical controls to best practice guidelines.
  • Develop professional working relationships with key stakeholders in the service.
  • Understand all aspects of the local contract and attend contract review meetings.
  • Be accountable for all aspects of people management for the team.
  • Set clear, measurable, and challenging objectives for all colleagues.
  • Ensure all clinical and service-based KPIs for the contract are achieved.
  • Participate in the annual budget setting process.
  • Work with the team to review the service and develop an action plan to address areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Essential skills and experience:
  • Qualified in Prosthetics/Orthotics
  • HCPC registration
  • Previous experience of managing teams to deliver commercial contracts
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Contract management experience
  • Able to prioritise own workload and that of others
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively with all levels of colleagues, customers, and clients
  • Able to demonstrate sound judgement and decision-making skills
  • Advanced and appropriate IT skills
  • Auditing and KPI experience
