Lead Financial Insights Analyst - Contract Opportunity

ROLE OVERVIEW

The primary function of the Lead Financial Insights Analyst is to guarantee the precise and prompt execution of Month-End processes, Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial Strategy, while also identifying opportunities for ongoing enhancement. This role entails comprehensive ownership of designated areas, focusing on the analysis of extensive and intricate data sets, month-end accounting procedures, forecasting critical metrics, and collaborating with both internal and external teams.

Financial Reporting

Oversee and validate monthly transactions throughout the month-end process.

Conduct and assist in the review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

Ensure the timely delivery of monthly financial data to facilitate accurate financial reporting.

Assist with audit inquiries as necessary.

Analysis, Reporting, Forecasting, and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Accountable for the creation of 5-year strategic plans, reforecasting, and associated analysis.
  • Compile the monthly Management Accounts and deliver insightful commentary.
  • Oversee all dimensions of Financial Management.
  • Enhance financial performance by analyzing results, monitoring variances, and identifying trends.
  • Review, assess, and rectify data while proposing suitable corrective or reinforcing measures.
  • Provide daily and ad hoc financial support and analysis as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Fully Qualified - A recognized professional finance qualification (e.g., ACA/CIMA/ACCA).
  • Expertise in financial accounting and experience in relationship management.
  • Strong Commercial Acumen and Stakeholder Management capabilities.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficient in financial accounting with experience in relationship management.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret complex data sets.
  • Competence in analyzing financial data and preparing comprehensive financial reports.
  • Capacity to work accurately under tight deadlines.
  • Effective communicator – both written and verbal.
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential; Power BI proficiency is advantageous.
  • Collaborative team player.
