Nursery Room Leader Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join our team at Nursery People, a specialist in nursery staffing. As a Nursery Room Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the early experiences of young learners and contributing to the delivery of high-quality childcare and education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Team Management: Assume a leadership role within a dedicated room, guiding and inspiring a team of practitioners to deliver exceptional childcare and education.
  • Curriculum Development: Develop and implement a stimulating and innovative curriculum, ensuring alignment with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and fostering a love for learning.
  • Team Support and Development: Support and mentor team members, providing constructive feedback, and facilitating continuous professional development to enhance individual and collective skills.
  • Parent and Guardian Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with parents and guardians through effective communication, regular updates, and organized events, fostering a sense of community.
  • Quality Assurance: Take responsibility for the overall quality of care within the designated room, conducting regular assessments, and implementing improvements to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 Early Years Childcare recognized qualification.
  • Experience: Significant experience in an early years setting, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Thorough understanding of the EYFS framework, excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve outstanding outcomes for children.
