Job Overview
As a Care Specialist with Home Instead, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and companionship to our clients in the comfort of their own homes. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives and provide support that enables them to maintain their independence and dignity.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend service reviews to ensure that our care professionals are practicing the current standards of care delivery and maintaining high standards for our CQC rating.
- Ensure that our care professionals are happy and that our clients are receiving the best possible care and support.
- Field support care professionals will ensure that all our values are met, including fairness, reliability, honesty, support, and happiness.
Client Care
Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with their daily activities, providing dignified care and companionship. This will include:
- Personal Care: assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, when required.
- Medication Reminders: ensuring clients take their medications as prescribed.
- Meal Preparation: planning and preparing nutritious meals according to dietary needs.
- Light Housekeeping: assisting with light cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Transportation: providing transportation for clients to appointments, errands, and social outings.
Building Relationships
Gaining familiarity with clients, their hobbies, and interests will enable you to build a trusting relationship and provide tailored support. You will be matched with clients and will remain under their care, allowing you to engage with them and provide companionship.
Qualifications and Requirements
You should have experience in care, ideally with an NVQ2 & 3 in Health & Social Care. However, if you don't have these qualifications and have a lot of experience, we will gladly discuss the role with you. You must be a driver with your own vehicle.
