Job Summary:
Orion is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Control Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our project controls team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate allocation of purchase orders, capturing commitments, actuals, and forecasting based on schedule reviews. You will also be responsible for completing cost reports, performing cost control through variance analysis, and utilizing Earned Value Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the SAP Admin team to ensure PO allocation to the correct WBS for projects and portfolios.
- Capture commitments, actuals, and forecasting based on schedule reviews.
- Complete cost reports and perform cost control through analysis of variances and use of Earned Value Management.
- Responsible for portfolio or several projects delivering cost control and reporting according to the Projects Operating Rhythm.
- Support the SAP Admin Team to deliver improvement initiatives relating to SAP reporting and analyzing and housekeeping activities, such that PO, WBS, and project can be closed timely.
- Analyze and challenge internal project teams and main contractors.
- Drive agile but compliant project cost control.
- Proactively forecast utilizing the project controls schedule and contractor reports.
Requirements:
- Qualification or experience in Project cost control.
- Significant experience in processing and reporting from SAP, including reporting and analyzing project WBS and PO data, closing out PO's/WBS's.
- Significant experience and knowledge of MS Office or Office 365 software, especially Excel.
- An understanding of Project Controls, across Planning, Cost, Risk, MoC, EvM.
