Cost Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Controller to join our team at Myonex. As a Cost Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the development, implementation, and execution of project cost control, cost reporting, and invoicing objectives within contracted work scopes.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and advise project managers, commercial managers, and financial controllers on critical path, milestone, and slipping tasks, as well as other issues and changes that may lead to over-budget tasks.
- Manage and monitor project budgets, developing and adjusting them as needed.
- Assist the financial accountant and commercial manager in developing project cash flow analysis.
- Liaise with project managers and the project management team daily to provide briefing, feedback, and highlight areas of concern, enabling tracking of costs against baseline and highlighting significant deviations.
- Manage and monitor project costs, assisting with forecasting future project costs.
- Accurately track and reconcile project equipment and resources.
- Manage and analyze all project-related costs, liaising with project managers to review incorrectly allocated costs and create journal corrections to move costs to the correct codes.
- Manage client PO expenditure checks and liaise with clients and project managers directly to ensure they are aware of any PO uplifts in advance of project completion.
- Write reports and present information to key stakeholders.
- Understand and comply with contract notification and reporting procedures.
- Manage invoicing requirements and close-out reporting at project completion.
- Develop financial reporting procedures and systems.
- Calculate variances between budgets and actuals.
- Investigate unprofitable variances and losses.
- Develop cost-efficient solutions to implement changes.
- Previous experience working in cost control in the engineering, marine, and subsea construction industry.
- Experience with accountancy software platforms such as Navision/Sage/SAP/ORACLE or similar.
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers and project stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work, balancing resources, skills, priorities, and timescales to achieve objectives.
- Relevant accounting/invoicing experience.
