Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced People Operations and Policy Manager to join our team at AG Barr. As a key member of our HR function, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the People Operations team, including payroll, people administration, and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • People Operations:
    • Oversee and optimize daily operations of the People Department to ensure efficient and effective processes
    • Lead the timely and accurate delivery of payroll through effective processes within the team
    • Manage employee records and databases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data protection regulations
  • Policy Management:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain people policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and best practices
    • Lead a team of Advisors on People Policy management and development to ensure their ongoing effectiveness
    • Communicate policy changes to colleagues and ensure understanding and compliance across the business
  • Leadership and Collaboration:
    • Supervise the People Operations team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive People Department-related projects and initiatives

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in People Operations and policy management
  • In-depth knowledge of People policies, employment laws, and regulations
  • Experience in leading a payroll function
  • Proficiency in systems and applications
  • Experience in leading Employee Relations activities and case management
  • Developed organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
