About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of waste handling systems, including balers, compactors, shredders, conveyors, tippers, and other equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete servicing of waste handling systems, performing fault diagnosis and repair as required, and PPM maintenance in accordance with schedules.
  • Install new equipment and deliver associated training to customers and operatives.
  • Evaluate and resolve electrical and mechanical problems, documenting breakdown and service visits including reports and photos via tablet.
  • Carry out LOLER Inspections on lifting equipment.
  • Repair and replace hydraulic systems, and perform minor fabrication if required.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need to have at least 3 years' experience working on electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Knowledge of Siemens S7/LOGO fault find, modification, and debug is highly advantageous. Experience in maintaining waste compactors and vertical and horizontal balers will also be beneficial. You should have excellent customer-facing skills and a commitment to the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

A full clean UK driving licence is required. Relevant engineering qualifications (ideally C&G or HNC or above) and 18th Edition Electrical qualifications are also essential.
