Vacancy Overview:

Airswift is seeking a highly skilled Senior Geophysicist to join our team in Aberdeen, UK. This is a 1-year contract opportunity with a hybrid schedule of 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct seismic interpretation to contribute to reservoir models for assigned fields and discoveries.
  • Manage geophysical studies conducted by in-house teams and third-party contractors.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary sub-surface team members to identify new drilling and intervention opportunities.
  • Lead and coordinate front-end activities for development projects as needed.
  • Interpret and map 3D seismic datasets for producing fields and discoveries throughout development phases.
  • Generate drilling opportunities and evaluate well results to optimize production.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary project teams to ensure integrated reservoir management.
  • Provide input for enhanced processing of seismic datasets and quantitative interpretation projects.
  • Conduct data room evaluations for potential farm-in opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Substantial oil industry experience, preferably with an operating company.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of interpretation in Petrel software packages, including seismic plugins.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology or Geophysics.
