We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager to join our team at D R Newitt & Associates. As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of our Quality Management System (QMS) and Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and report on QMS performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with managers and staff to ensure QMS and FSMS compliance with legal and industry standards.
- Lead the food safety team, organizing training and managing competencies to ensure a high level of expertise.
- Prepare for and conduct internal audits for ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, GMP, and other relevant standards.
- Oversee supplier management, maintaining raw material specifications and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage customer quality issues, including complaints and corrective actions, to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for risk management and support sustainability initiatives.
- Work with the Health & Safety consultant on audits, risk assessments, and incident analysis.
- Background in quality or compliance within food science or manufacturing.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, BRC, and Kosher standards.
- Experience in internal or supplier auditing, HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in IT and document management.
- Degree in Food Science or related field; Level 3 in HACCP, Food Safety & Hygiene.
