Merchandise Planning Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Merchandising Manager to join our team at Liberty. As a key member of our Merchandising department, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and profitability through effective merchandise planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Forecasting and Planning
- Develop and maintain accurate forecasts to inform business decisions and drive sales growth
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to agree and plan financial building blocks in line with business strategy
- Reporting and Analysis
- Present seasonal lessons learnt and key actionable insights to drive profit for the business
- Identify key areas of risk and opportunity and lead trade meetings to challenge and drive performance
- Stock Optimization
- Responsible for stock across continuity and seasonal, demonstrating proven results in improving merchandising KPIs
- Collaborate with buying to continually review the range and identify opportunities for de-ranging, de-listing or enhancing the product offer
- Sales and Promotions
- Own markdown and promotions in line with business strategy
- Use analysis to dictate markdown depth strategy to maximise margin and sell thru
- Operational Support
- Oversee price change process, ensuring intake margins are in line with budget and products are appropriately priced for the market
- Work with operations and logistics teams to ensure stock processes are planned, managed and executed efficiently
- Data and Tools
- Identify training needs and conduct impactful training sessions on systems and tools
- Use data to identify and communicate relevant and accurate business information
- Management
- Manage, train and develop team – delegating appropriately and up-skilling team to realise potential
- Cascade relevant business information, share knowledge and maintain regular communication through 1:1s and as a team
