Job Title: Behaviour Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students who exhibit behavioural challenges, working closely with class teachers, support staff, and the SEN team to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement personalised behaviour management plans to support students with behavioural challenges.
  • Provide 1:1 support or small group interventions to students, using behaviour management techniques to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • Build trusting relationships with students to help them feel supported and understood, providing a safe and nurturing environment for them to thrive.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging social interaction and helping students develop their social and emotional skills.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, maintaining accurate records to inform future support.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children or young people, either in a school or similar setting.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience, with a passion for supporting vulnerable students.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and other staff.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, but also independently when needed.
