Our Balfour Beatty Highways division presents an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager to oversee the A57 Link Road Scheme with a flexible working arrangement. The role will primarily be site-based during the construction phase.

Key Responsibilities

As an Engineering Manager, your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Leading engineering and design management, providing strong leadership and oversight of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive design integration across all disciplines.
  • Building robust relationships with both internal and external teams to facilitate effective project delivery.
  • Supporting the overarching engineering strategy for the organization and our clients.
  • Collaborating with Supply Chain partners, Clients, Designers, and Delivery Partners to enhance knowledge sharing and drive efficiencies in alignment with National Highways objectives.
  • Engaging engineering specialists to deliver on-site training for new hires and site engineers.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidates will possess:

  • A degree or HND qualification in Civil Engineering
  • A valid UK Driving license
  • CSCS/SMSTS certification
  • Experience in Civil Engineering/Highways projects
  • A proven history of team management and leadership
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to manage a team of over 20 staff
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with ICE or CIHT
