Civil Engineer - Airfield Team Leader

We invite you to bring your civil engineering expertise, professionalism, and skills into play as you work with our specialist airfield civils team on projects in the UK and abroad. To succeed in this role, you must have a Civil Engineering degree and experience delivering civil engineering services across all RIBA work stages. We work to create a sustainable future, and our inspiring projects and innovative solutions aim to set the standard among our peers. Our core team is based in Chester, but location is flexible for the right candidate. There will likely be travel opportunities both within the UK and internationally.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Civil design at all RIBA stages for both traditional and design and build procurement
  • Management of your own time and that of technicians
  • Review of drawings produced by CAD technicians
  • Identification of project risk and opportunity

Requirements

  • Experience of delivering civil engineering services across all RIBA work stages.
  • Experience delivering civil design in accordance with Eurocode and UK Building Regulations.
  • Experience and understanding of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 including Principal Designer role.

Personal Qualities

  • A self-starter and natural communicator able to clearly understand a client's needs and align these with quality engineering outcomes.
