Detailed Job Description

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of expertise in dietetics and leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of dietitians and providing clinical education to staff, students, and assistants.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical education to staff, students, and assistants and give constructive feedback.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working as a Band 5 dietitian with evidence of interest in paediatric dietetics.
Person SpecificationQualifications

The ideal candidate will have a BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics or a Post-Graduate Diploma in Dietetics and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Essential Criteria
  • Experience of working in a clinical setting and providing patient care.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Criteria
  • Advanced Diploma in Dietetics.
  • Member of a paediatric-related British Dietetic Association (BDA) specialist group.
  • Behavioural change skills training.
  • Training or experience in leadership and appraisal skills.
ExperienceEssential Criteria
  • Experience of working as part of an MDT.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working as a Band 5 dietitian with evidence of interest in paediatric dietetics.
