Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a permanent Band 5 registered nurse to join our Community Nursing Team based at Campbeltown Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients in their homes and community settings.
The role involves assessing, identifying, and prioritizing health needs, working collaboratively with the primary healthcare team and colleagues within the Health and Social Care Partnership. A co-ordinated approach to prevention of admission and hospital discharge is taken, with a focus on user involvement in service planning and delivery.
The successful candidate will possess clinical assessment skills and experience of providing palliative care. Kintyre offers a great work-life balance, with opportunities for outdoor pursuits and a range of leisure activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care to patients in their homes and community settings
- Assess, identify, and prioritize health needs
- Work collaboratively with the primary healthcare team and colleagues within the Health and Social Care Partnership
- Develop and implement care plans to promote independent living
- Provide skilled clinical interventions, health education, and promotion
Requirements:
- NMC registration
- Clinical assessment skills
- Experience of providing palliative care
Working Hours:
NHS Scotland is reducing its full-time working week from 37 hours. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff. The successful candidate may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period.
