Quantity Surveyor – Civils

About the Role:

A Quantity Surveyor is required for a leading construction company specializing in piling and foundations. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, utilizing their skills and experience to ensure the most favorable terms of contract are secured.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend pre-contract and pre-start meetings to ensure the most favorable terms of contract are secured.
  • Inform clients of any variations and agree on extra costs and final accounts in a timely manner.
  • Reporting and preparation of sub-contractor payments and forecasts.
  • Check purchase ledger subcontract accounts.
  • Generate timely applications, invoices, and final accounts to meet client deadlines, ensuring that cash flow is always paramount. This includes preparation of information in support of all claims and variation work.
  • Manage and oversee subcontractors working for the company to fully comply with back-to-back terms of business.

Requirements:

  • Quantity surveying experience including measurement, valuation, CVR & change management.
  • Experience of JCT and NEC forms of contract or equivalent.
  • Degree or equivalent in quantity surveying or equivalent qualification in law and/or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying.
  • Extensive project experience.
