We are seeking a highly skilled Project Planner to join our Infrastructure Team in London. As a key member of our project management team, you will play a crucial role in delivering successful outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Project Planning and Programming: Provide a high standard of project planning service delivery, ensuring that all time-related issues are effectively considered and controlled.
- Consultancy Advice: Offer expert advice on programming and monitoring issues, including the use of S-curves, trend analysis, and critical path analysis.
- Strategic Programme Development: Prepare high-level strategic programmes to identify and assess the impact of key sequence, responsibilities, and key strategies.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and report against programmes at all stages of pre-construction and construction, including the use of baselines, critical path analysis, and rescheduling.
- Tender and Contract Analysis: Analyze tender and contract programmes from contractors, including the preparation of critical path analysis.
- Sequence and Duration Planning: Establish sequence, durations, and options for all stages of projects, including design and procurement, legal, financial, gateways, construction, commissioning, and qualification.
- What-if Scenario Planning: Develop ambitious What-if scenario planning, in close association with Works Contractors and Construction Management, with acceleration of outcomes in mind.
- Trigger Point Management: Monitor and advise the Construction Management effort on multi-faceted key Trigger points, obtained from liaising closely with Contractors.
- Works Status Reporting: Accurately and independently appreciate and report on current Works status.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate with project teams, including clients, project managers, cost consultants, design and other consultants, and contractors, to negotiate and coordinate project programme issues.
- Delay Mitigation and Analysis: Provide consultancy advice on delay mitigation and undertake comprehensive delay and forensic analysis activities.
- Site Logistic and Phasing Management: Develop site logistic and phasing management plans.
- Resource Programme Development: Create resource programmes to demonstrate key inputs and outputs.
- Business Development and Client Relations: Assist with business development and maintain client relations.
- Education: Ideally educated to degree or equivalent level in a construction or engineering-related discipline.
- Experience: Extensive post-qualification experience as a project planner and schedule management within the construction industry, with the ability to demonstrate skills at a high level, working within a variety of project teams.
- Software Skills: Skilled in the use of Oracle Primavera P6 and other planning software.
- Industry Knowledge: Relevant experience in the pharmaceutical and life science sectors beneficial.
- Contracting and Consulting Experience: Experience in both contracting and a consultant environment.
- CQV Process Knowledge: Experience, knowledge, and understanding of the commissioning, qualification, and validation (CQV) processes and associated schedule/activity requirements.
- Project Controls and Programme Management: Experience working on high-profile projects and in a project controls and/or programme management environment.
- Communication and Influencing Skills: Articulate with the ability to communicate complex issues in a clear manner, both verbally and written.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: An analytical thinker, demonstrating a logical approach to problem-solving.
- Buy-in and Influencing: Ability to achieve buy-in to work from clients and other project stakeholders.
- Relationship Building: Ability to forge relationships and build rapport with team members, clients, and customers alike.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt planning skills to new and differing situations.
- IT Skills: Excellent IT skills, including MS Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Power BI.
