We have exciting opportunities available within our Children's Houses located in various regions. Your efforts will be instrumental in fostering the healthy development of these young people through engaging activities and by serving as a consistent, caring adult role model, tailored to meet their unique needs and aspirations.

Collaborating with key colleagues and partners, you will actively participate in assessment and care planning processes, attend reviews and necessary meetings, and prepare detailed reports and care plans to ensure effective implementation of these plans.

To qualify for this role, you must possess an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or an HNC in Social Care, or hold one of the qualifications recognized for registration as a residential childcare worker with SSSC. Previous experience in social care, whether through personal or voluntary roles, is essential. You should demonstrate flexibility, self-motivation, and enthusiasm, with the ability to meet tight deadlines while inspiring children and young people to reach their full potential. If you do not already hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or HNC in Social Care, you will be expected to work towards obtaining one within the timelines set by SSSC. Additionally, you should be capable of undertaking a Physical Capacity test in accordance with Promoting Positive Behaviour Guidance. Experience in Residential Childcare is advantageous.

Membership in the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is a requirement prior to starting this role, and you must also be registered or eligible for registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
