Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Workshop Assistant to join our team at EthosEnergy. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient working environment, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, and providing excellent support to our production team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleaning and maintaining the workshop, stores, and offices.
- Assist with workshop preparation, including assembling and dispatching components and units.
- Maintain the appearance of our outside yard space and car park.
- Carry out local deliveries and pickups as required.
- Provide general handyman services and support forklift duties as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all HSE, Quality, and Workshop Procedures.
- Develop effective working relationships with internal teams to meet customer requirements and support the overall process.
- Provide support and assistance to the Fitting Team Leader/Production Manager as required.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Focused on detail and accuracy.
- Numerical, literacy, and administration skills.
- Flexible, self-motivated, and high levels of initiative to handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a culture of continuous improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience and Qualifications
- Forklift certificate (minimum 10 tonne) is preferable but not essential.
- Manual handling certificate is preferable but not essential.
- Risk assessment and COSHH qualifications are preferable but not essential.
- Banksman Slinging, using an overhead crane certificate would be preferable but not essential.
