Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will engage in various projects as needed, with a primary focus on:

  • SCADA Software Development: Involvement in the development, testing, and support of SCADA software.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Addressing and resolving communication challenges related to SCADA, telemetry, and remote equipment impacting pipeline operations.
Essential Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A solid understanding of SCADA telemetry interfaces, PLC/RTU interfaces, and networking related to SCADA systems.
  • A comprehensive grasp of web applications and software products.
  • Experience in SCADA communications and IT telecommunications infrastructure.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
Additional Competencies

Successful candidates will also demonstrate:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes.
  • Networking certification is advantageous.
Support and Development

The role includes:

  • Providing SCADA and telemetry support while collaborating with IT infrastructure on system issues and upgrades.
  • Developing and updating custom application functionalities and understanding external system interfaces.
  • Creating and modifying database records and programming structures in SCADA to enhance operational functions.
  • Participating in customer training sessions as required.
  • Preparing reports based on incident severity using Excel.
