This is a full-time permanent role with a salary of £54,792 plus a £2,000 car allowance per annum, 25 days annual leave (rising annually to 30 days) plus Bank Holidays.

As a Health and Safety Manager, you'll be at the forefront of fostering a strong health and safety culture, working collaboratively with our teams to ensure the highest standards of safety for our colleagues, contractors, and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Innovate: Develop and implement industry-leading health and safety management systems, ensuring safe systems of work, risk assessments, and compliance are in place and actively understood and monitored.
- Collaborate and Coach: Work closely with teams across Yorkshire Housing, providing expert guidance on health and safety best practices, while shaping a proactive safety culture through training, coaching, and engagement.
- Investigate and Prevent: Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and safety concerns, while working with teams to develop prevention programmes and minimise risks.
- Drive Culture Change: Champion health and safety excellence, engaging staff at all levels to cultivate positive behaviours and attitudes towards safety.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in health and safety management within technical environments such as social housing, residential property, construction, or maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of CDM regulations, contractor management, and health, safety, and environmental management systems (ISO45001, ISO14001).
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving skills, and project management skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in developing and delivering health and safety training, inspections, and risk management processes.
