About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our Economics and Analytics Group at Ofcom. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in building an internal data product using PowerBI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a dashboard in PowerBI to visualize the results of data analysis and models.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and economists to support model development and deployment.
  • Produce high-quality documentation.
  • Build scheduled data pipelines to ingest data from various third-party APIs.
Requirements
  • Strong proficiency in PowerBI, including data modelling, DAX, and visualization best practices.
  • Strong proficiency with PySpark, Python.
  • Experience with SQL and database management.
  • Proven experience in data manipulation, including designing and implementing ETL processes.
  • Proven experience of producing high-quality documentation.
Desirable Qualifications
  • A degree in computer science, data science, or a related field, with a postgraduate qualification being desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with network analysis desirable, but not essential.
