Job Summary

DataCareers is seeking a highly experienced Programme Manager to lead a comprehensive review of our operational needs, focusing on evaluating and improving key infrastructure within our central operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Project Managers and Business Analysts to support the delivery of a comprehensive recommendations report.
  • Develop project plans with indicative timeframes, costs, and resource requirements to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, commanders, and Heads of Department across both operational and support services.
  • Conduct a detailed assessment of current and future operational requirements, including personnel, vehicles, and facilities.
  • Evaluate the condition and suitability of a site that is no longer fit for purpose, providing cost-benefit analysis for refurbishment, rebuilding, or relocation options.
  • Direct a team to ensure adherence to governance procedures and provide regular programme progress updates to senior stakeholders.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale programmes with significant estate and infrastructure implications.
  • Expertise in needs assessment, resource allocation, and the management of large-scale refurbishments and new builds.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to translate operational needs into comprehensive project requirements.
  • Excellent report writing and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • MSP/Prince2 or equivalent Programme Management qualification.
  • Experience managing complex construction programmes or relevant construction qualifications.
